Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: ADN Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Med/Surg, nephrology, kidney transplants, renal, dialysis experience Description: 48 hours guaranteed is an option. General information: Unit specifics include 20 beds with a patient ratio of 1:6. Unit staffing includes a unit secretary during the day and available patient care technicians. There is a unit educator present. Type of equipment includes a documentation system. Scheduling requirements include three weekend shifts per month. There are no on-call requirements. Agency and contract nurses float first. Patient experience requirements are specific to the hospital. No certifications are required other than BLS. Dress code is royal blue scrubs; black scrub pants are allowed. Procedures performed on the unit involve medical-surgical care. Dialysis is conducted off the unit. Unit guidelines and policies are provided. Awards and recognition are given for teamwork. A virtual nurse completes patient admissions while bedside nurses focus on their other patients.
