Overview
Registered Nurse – CVOR travel assignment in Kansas City, KS, US. Start date 07/19/2026 for a 13-week contract. Weekly pay range: $2,998 per week to $3,139 per week. Shift: 4x10-hour days. Travel - Temporary Assignment in a hospital setting. This assignment requires CVOR expertise in a Level I trauma center, with scrub and circulating responsibilities in cardiac surgeries.

Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular surgery patients in the CVOR, including scrub and circulating duties
- Maintain sterile technique, prepare and organize instrumentation, and assist with anticipated cases
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively, collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia teams, and respond to emergent needs
- Ensure correct counts, instrument processing, and turnover between cases; document perioperative care and pertinent observations
- Support patient safety, infection control, and quality standards throughout the perioperative period
- Assist with postoperative handoff to PACU and communicate changes in patient condition to team members

Requirements
- State RN license (KS) in good standing
- Certification: BLS required
- Experience: minimum 2 years CVOR experience in a Level I trauma center
- Skills: strong recent scrub experience on cardiac surgeries and circulating experience
- Additional duties: willingness to float to additional OR areas as needed
- Scheduling: weekend rotation required
- On-call: up to 1 weekend per month; some holidays with a 2-hour minimum callback
- Orientation: new employee orientation scheduled Monday–Tuesday prior to start
