Pay: $10.00 - $11 .00 per hour

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Zookeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the care and management of various animal species within the zoo, ensuring their well-being. This role requires a strong understanding of animal behavior, anatomy, along with hands-on experience in animal handling and care.

Duties

• Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring health.
• Administer medications as prescribed by veterinary staff and maintain accurate health records.
• Conduct regular inspections of animal habitats to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Engage with visitors to educate them about the animals.
• Assist in the development of enrichment activities to promote natural behaviors in animals.

Qualifications

• Experience in animal handling is preferred.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with visitors and coworkers.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks related to animal care.
• Ages 18+
• Be able to life 50 lbs.
