You will work closely with our seasoned sales and relationship management team to strengthen our partnerships with some of the world's leading institutional investors. You will also support our senior sales professionals' work to identify and pursue new business development opportunities. This role is a means to make a difference: you will help us better serve our existing partners and connect potential future investors to one of the world's leading quantitative investment firms.This position must be based on the West Coast, Berkeley strongly preferred.ResponsibilitiesPartner with our senior sales/relationship managers to build and strengthen existing Voleon investor relationships by providing outstanding client servicePartner with our senior sales/relationship managers in their work across the sales cycle from sourcing new opportunities to closing investments with both existing and prospective investorsIndependently manage select existing investor relationships with oversight from our senior teamMaintain a robust relationship management ecosystem - including but not limited to relationship coverage plans, sales pipelines, and strict CRM tracking processesCollaborate with colleagues across functions including Research and Investor Operations to enhance Voleon's investor reporting and research content Requirements3+ years of experience in an institutional sales or relationship management role (or a sales-focused operations role) at an institutional asset management firmTrack record of supporting senior colleagues in growing existing relationships and closing new businessEagerness to work in diverse teamsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and CRM systemsMust be able to travel at least 10-15% of the timeSeries 3 license or willingness to pursue within the first three months of employmentBachelors DegreePreferred Qualifications: CFA or CAIA “Friends of Voleon” Candidate Referral ProgramIf you have a great candidate in mind for this role and would like to have the potential to earn $7,500 if your referred candidate is successfully hired and employed by The Voleon Group, please use this form to submit your referral.
