Advanced Practitioners – Other Specialties

Job Details:

• Per diem Physician Assistant role within a busy and growing Department of Cardiac Surgery
• Work under the direction of a cardiothoracic surgeon performing a variety of clinical duties
• First assist in cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Perform endoscopic vessel harvesting
• Conduct preoperative history and physical examinations
• Provide postoperative care in an outpatient clinical setting
• Deliver patient education as part of comprehensive care
• Must be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Master's program
• Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Physician Assistant in the state of Connecticut
• Must be certified or eligible to be certified as a Physician Assistant
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in cardiovascular surgery required
• Monday through Sunday availability required

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
