Join a team dedicated to innovation, sustainability, and making a real difference. ________________________________________ Role Summary As the Plant & Strategic Manufacturing Expansion Leader, you will lead the expansion of our Grid Automation manufacturing footprint in North America and overseeing daily plant operations. This dual-focus role requires you to oversee daily manufacturing operations of electrical panels (procurement, assembly, integration, testing, delivery to customers) while simultaneously directing the end-to-end lifecycle of our strategic US expansion. You will own multi-million-dollar operating plans and capital budgets, exercising high-level evaluative judgment to scale our production capacity and enable a state-of-the-art, "Industry 4.0" enabled factory. By fostering a culture of safety, quality, and precision, you will integrate Lean manufacturing, AI, robotics, and robust cybersecurity protocols to ensure our regional growth strategy is met with world-class operational performance. ________________________________________ Job Description Essential Responsibilities 1. Strategic Expansion & Lifecycle Leadership Greenfield/Brownfield Execution: Direct the end-to-end lifecycle of our US manufacturing expansion, from infrastructure design and construction oversight to the installation of advanced manufacturing systems. Matrix Leadership: Influence and drive standardization of our manufacturing methods, fostering collaboration between sites to ensure consistent processes, quality standards, and "best-in-class" operational output. Operational Readiness: Bridge the project-to-production gap by ensuring all equipment validation (FAT), safety, and quality systems are fully commissioned and operational from "Day One." Change & Risk Mitigation: Navigate complex interdependencies between existing production cycles and site retrofitting, ensuring that ambitious expansion milestones never disrupt committed customer deliveries. 2. Operational Excellence & Financial Stewardship Dual-Track Management: Direct daily production of our US facility to meet aggressive SQCDP (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People) targets while ensuring strict adherence to internal policies. Full P&L & Capital Governance: Exercise total accountability for the unit’s financial performance. Develop and execute multi-year CapEx plans, managing complex project budgets to ensure on-schedule delivery within financial targets. Lean & Industry 4.0 Transformation: Champion continuous improvement by embedding Lean principles (5S, Kaizen, VSM) and accelerating the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies, including AI, robotics, and advanced visual management. Supply Chain Collaboration: Partner with global sourcing and logistics teams to manage inventory risks, mitigate long-lead component shortages, and ensure upstream supply alignment with production schedules. 3. Safety, Quality, & Regulatory Integrity "Zero Harm" EHS Culture: Champion a world-class safety culture that goes beyond compliance, utilizing root cause analysis and proactive incident prevention to maintain a "Zero Harm" environment. Quality Management, Compliance & Operational Technology (OT) Security: Own the Quality Management System (QMS) ensuring adherence to standards (ISO 9001, etc.) and lead the integration of OT security protocols (e.g., NIST SP 800-53, NERC CIP) into the factory floor to ensure product and process integrity. 4. Organizational Scaling & Strategic Influence Talent Strategy: Build the organizational structure for our US footprint, including talent acquisition, technical training, and fostering a high-performance culture that thrives during rapid growth. Cross-Functional Catalyst: Interface with C-Suite, external partners, and engineering teams to solve high-complexity manufacturing challenges, ensuring seamless customer delivery. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent). A Business Administration and/or Leadership degree is valued. Manufacturing Experience: 10+ years of progressively responsible manufacturing leadership, with demonstrated success in Grid Automation or adjacent markets. Expansion Expertise: Proven track record of leading the full lifecycle of industrial projects, including greenfield/brownfield expansion and facility commissioning. Technical Proficiency: Good expertise within electrification market, including control & protection equipment, automation integration and factory testing protocols. Financial & Strategic Acumen: Demonstrated P&L ownership with experience in managing multi-million-dollar operating budgets and complex CapEx forecasting. Regulatory Knowledge: Ability to understand quality and security standards applicable to the energy sector (e.g., ISO 9001, NERC CIP, NIST SP 800-53). Operational Excellence: Expert-level application of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to drive productivity in high-mix, high-complexity environments. Execution & Mobility: Ability to travel up to 30% primarily within North America and occasionally to facilities in other regions. Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $144,000.00 and $240,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
