Pennoni Construction Services, headquartered in King of Prussia, PA is currently seeking full-time and part-time AWS Certified Welding Inspectors for off-site fabrication shops throughout the USA that produce bridge and highway products for transportation agencies.
Required experience is consistent with, but not limited to:
- Inspection of welding, steel fabrication, coatings, expansion joints, bridge bearings, sign structures, bridge beams, drainage structures, and other materials.
- Monitoring work for compliance with approved shop drawings, standards, and specifications.
- Communicating and meeting with fabricators, clients, and engineers.
- Production of daily written shop reports.
Required attributes:
- Minimum education: High school.
- Minimum years of experience: 3.
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector.
- Computer skills: Microsoft windows and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work well independently and with others.
- Reliable transportation required.
Preferred attributes:
- Experience performing QA/QC during bridge fabrication, including fracture critical material (FCM).
- Non-Destructive Testing [NDT] certifications (e.g.: UT, MT, PT).
- Experience performing QA/QC of bridge and highway structures.
- AWS D1.1/D1.5 experience.
- Coating inspection experience.
