Job Summary
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) Carmichael, CA. This position involves providing specialized surgical support within a facilitys operating rooms, with a focus on open heart procedures. The role requires flexibility to float between main operating rooms and cardiovascular operating rooms as needed, supporting various surgical specialties such as vascular, neuro, robotic, orthopedic, trauma, and general surgery.

Job Details

• Schedule: 8-hour shifts starting at 0630 or 0645, with a minimum of 40 hours per week and required call on weekends and holidays.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS; minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; valid license to submit.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) and main operating room, including vascular, neuro, robotic, orthopedic, trauma, and general surgery.
• Float: Float rotation may be required between CVOR and main OR based on case schedule.
• Additional Information:
  • No scrubbing for CVOR cases is required.
  • When cases are not scheduled in CVOR, the candidate will float to the main OR.
  • Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips, with experience in ventilator management and emergency procedures.
  • Surgeons are available 24/7 during regular hours, with call overnight and on weekends.
  • No hospital-employed employment within the past year, and candidates must provide a copy of a valid government-issued ID.
  • Adequate orientation will be 1-2 days in the OR with a preceptor.
