HBCU Sales Representative

525 Technologies is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Sales Representative to develop new business opportunities and strengthen existing partnerships with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). This position will focus on building relationships with institutional decision-makers, identifying technology needs, and promoting 525 Technologies' products and services. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, self-motivated, and comfortable managing the sales process from prospecting through closing.

Key responsibilities include:

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with HBCUs.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing college and university customers.
• Connect with IT Directors, Purchasing Departments, and institutional leadership.
• Promote technology products and services, including IT support, hardware, security cameras, access control, audiovisual solutions, and network infrastructure.
• Identify upcoming technology projects, purchasing needs, and funding opportunities.
• Conduct customer meetings, presentations, and follow-up discussions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop quotes, proposals, and customer solutions.
• Manage sales opportunities from initial contact through closing.
• Maintain accurate customer information, sales activities, and opportunities in HubSpot CRM.
• Meet established sales goals and provide regular pipeline updates.

Qualifications include:

• Previous experience in sales, business development, or account management preferred.
• Experience working with colleges, universities, or educational institutions is a plus.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to identify opportunities and develop new customer relationships.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple accounts.
• Experience with HubSpot or another CRM preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings and business development activities.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow through.

We focus on building long-term customer relationships and delivering technology solutions that support institutional needs. Compensation: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year.
