Director, Human Resources - US & CALA (Canada & Latin America) Commercial

Abbott seeks a Director of Human Resources to lead strategic people initiatives for its US, Canada, and Latin America commercial division, supporting 700+ employees. The role involves translating business strategy into HR solutions, driving talent management and leadership development, and partnering with senior leaders on organizational effectiveness across diverse markets.
Responsibilities
- Serve as strategic HR advisor to senior commercial leadership on talent and organizational priorities
- Lead talent planning, succession planning, and talent reviews for critical role pipelines
- Drive organizational change initiatives including restructuring and transformation efforts
- Partner on workforce planning to assess talent needs and develop capability strategies
- Advance diversity, equity, and inclusion priorities across the commercial organization
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field
- 8+ years progressive HR business partner experience in regulated industries
- Strategic ability to translate business priorities into people strategy
- Strong change management, organizational design, and leadership coaching skills
- Expertise in employment laws and HR practices
- Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making abilities
- Proven track record building consultative relationships with senior leaders
