Model-Based Systems Engineer

Model-Based Systems Engineer – Arlington, VA We are looking for a cleared Model-Based Systems Engineer to work at our Arlington, VA office. This role involves using MBSE methodologies and tools to help develop system architectures and incorporate our unique capabilities into new development programs and fielded hardware. The engineer will support a diverse portfolio of programs and help create briefing material for reviews and exchanges. Candidates must be able to work on-site in Arlington, VA. Primary Responsibilities Use MBSE methodologies and tools to develop system architectures for new development programs and integrate Leidos’ capabilities into test or fielded hardware. Assist the technical team in aligning solution architecture to customer requirements. Exercise existing tools and models and create new models to represent emerging systems using MBSE tools such as NoMagic CSM. Capture, decompose, and trace system-level requirements. Analyze, define, and refine architectures and interfaces. Develop system structure and behavior. Collaborate with government stakeholders and cross-functional teams (software, test, mechanical, and electrical). Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 2+ years of prior relevant experience; or a master’s degree with at least one year of experience in systems engineering, software engineering, test engineering, or related field. US citizen. Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS. Experience working in a SIL environment. Experience with SysML, preferably using Cameo/MagicDraw. Strong desire to grow and learn new technologies. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a dynamic work environment and manage multiple tasks. Preferred Qualifications Active TS clearance. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, preferably Scrum or Kanban. Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket. OCSMP (OMG Certification for Systems Modeling Professionals). Experience with executable SysML simulation and scripting languages. Experience with MBSE methodologies such as Magicgrid. Understanding of military CONOPS. Location Arlington, VA – On-site work required. Pay Range $69,550.00 - $125,725.00. This range is a guideline only and may be influenced by factors such as responsibilities, experience, and market data.
