Acosta Human Resources Manager

The incumbent oversees Human Resources function for the region. The Sr. HR Business Partners, provides leadership, guidance, and counsel to the company's field operations on company policies involving associate relations, compliance issues such as EEO, RIF's, office closures, safety, health, and worker's compensation matters. Coordinates, develops, and administers policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include managing and providing leadership to HRBPs, overseeing employment process and benefits administration for region, escalating issues or problems as needed, assisting managers in counseling and disciplining employees, coordinating, analyzing and providing information on any legal issues, handling all legal federal or state claims under direction of Corporate Legal Counsel, assisting in training and development of regional management and staff, coordinating all Human Resources activities involved in company acquisitions, recommending changes and/or new policies and procedures, participating in unemployment hearings as needed, coordinating, monitoring and reviewing Performance Agreement procedures, meeting the physical requirements, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources Management or related field, minimum 9+ years of experience in Human Resources Generalist management, SHRP designation preferred, effective communication skills, knowledge of federal and state regulations relating to Human Resources, ability to develop procedures manuals, employee handbooks and company policies and procedures, computer literacy and experience working with word processing, spreadsheet and graphical software, excellent interpersonal organization, communication and negotiation skills, ability to travel.

Physical requirements include seeing and ability to travel.
