Senior Systems Engineer

Salary: $63,000 - 103,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• We require at least 5 years of hands-on Linux, Windows, and cloud systems engineering experience.
• We need strong familiarity with multiple Linux distributions and environments across Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and Alibaba Cloud.
• We expect practical knowledge of DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SFTP, PAM, SMB/NFS file sharing, Postfix, and scripting.
• We require U.S. work authorization without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.
• Preferred: experience administering AD, Entra ID, Intune, Copilot Studio, and Power Automate.
• Preferred: experience with networking technologies such as Palo Alto Prisma Cloud.
• Preferred: experience with privilege access management tools such as Centrify, Secret Server, or Privilege Control for Servers.
• Preferred: background in Linux and Windows administration in Azure, OCI, and on-premises hosting, including deployment, maintenance, security hardening, patching, troubleshooting, monitoring, and right-sizing.
• Preferred: experience supporting backups, disaster recovery drills, and multi-cloud environments with thorough documentation.
• Preferred: willingness to use automation tools such as Terraform, Azure DevOps, Ansible, and Foreman.
• Preferred: knowledge of ITIL and ServiceNow.
• Preferred: understanding of global security frameworks and standards such as CGMP, HIPAA, CIS, NIST, and FIPS.
• Preferred: experience designing infrastructure for a large healthcare manufacturing enterprise.
• Preferred: industry certifications such as MCAAA, MCAF, MCASEA, VCP, CCNA-RS, OCI-DP, OCI-SCP, ACA, ACP, ACE, AWS SAA, AWS SAP, RHCSA, OCP, or ITIL.

• We design, implement, maintain, and support our IT infrastructure and enterprise systems.
• We work closely with managed service providers to deliver complete Linux, Windows, and cloud architecture solutions.
• We resolve complex technical problems in creative, efficient, and effective ways.
• We oversee Linux, backup, and disaster recovery technologies across public and private cloud environments.
• We manage day-to-day operations, including asset inventory, configuration management, security controls, system health, and third-party application integrations.
• We analyze current business practices, technology processes, user needs, and workflows to identify improvement opportunities.
• We support our global IT operations in partnership with managed service providers.
• We represent the team on designated committees as needed.
• We act as a subject matter expert for infrastructure systems, including related content, processes, and procedures.
• We participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and provide after-hours support when required.
• We take part in enterprise disaster recovery exercises.
• We follow corporate and organizational security policies and help safeguard company assets.
• We report and address any security concerns within our scope of responsibility.
• We may perform other assigned duties and work additional or irregular hours when needed and permitted by local regulations.
