Work Environment This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining professional collaboration through virtual meetings and consultations. The work involves a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts required to meet the needs of our clients. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate patient progress and establish treatment pathways based on diagnoses. Develop personalized treatment plans that encompass both therapeutic goals and measured outcomes for each patient. Deliver evidence-based therapy modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic approaches, tailored to individual treatment needs. Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that foster emotional expression, growth, and improved coping mechanisms. Work in tandem with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team, providing integrated mental health care services. Manage crisis situations with effective crisis intervention techniques, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients during emergencies. Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, effective treatment options, and local community resources to encourage external support. Ensure accurate and secure documentation in compliance with all ethical and legal standards. Engage in regular case conferences and continuous professional development sessions to stay current with best practices in mental health therapy. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will include working with diverse patient populations experiencing varying degrees of mental health challenges. This will include adolescents, adults, and families, all of whom seek guidance and strategies to manage their conditions effectively. Through personalized interactions, your role will play a critical part in sustaining the wellbeing of these individuals and providing them with the tools necessary for productive and enriched lives. Qualifications A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current licensure as an LCSW-C, LCPC, LMFT, LCMFT, or PsyD in the state of Maryland. Two years of post-licensure experience preferred, emphasizing direct therapeutic practice. In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and trauma-informed care principles. Expertise in conducting accurate assessments and devising effective treatment plans that incorporate patient-centered approaches. Experience with both individual and group therapy dynamics, utilizing various evidence-based methodologies. Strong crisis intervention skills with an ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build rapport and trust with patients. Competency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software applications. A collaborative mindset, comfortable working within a multidisciplinary environment while observing professional ethics. Preferred Experience Experience in outpatient mental health settings is strongly encouraged. Understanding of the unique challenges faced by populations affected by trauma and mental health disorders. Ability to implement innovative treatment strategies to address specific client needs effectively. Compensation and Benefits The salary for this position ranges from $75,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
