Connect with us on LinkedIn and YouTube About the Role: Ambient is hiring its first dedicated video editor to join a two-person creative team, working directly with our Sr. Creative Manager. This person will support the end-to-end process, playing a huge part in editing, motion design, and final delivery across social, web, product marketing, events, and sales enablement. A significant part of this role is fast, social-native video that drives engagement and builds brand affinity - primarily short-form vertical content for LinkedIn and YouTube Shorts - alongside long-form storytelling for campaigns and product launches, including our monthly product release notes video. Because we work inside secure facilities like warehouses, hospitals, school districts, and corporate campuses, privacy shapes both our product and our brand guidelines, so you'll find creative ways to tell visual stories without identifiable faces in B-roll. This is a chance to help define the visual language of an entirely new category being rebuilt around AI. What You'll Do: Edit short-form vertical video optimized for LinkedIn and YouTube Shorts, with strong hooks, pacing, captions, and storytelling structures built for retention Repurpose long-form footage into multiple short-form assets to extend the reach of every shoot Build and extend our motion graphics system, including titles, lower thirds, UI callouts, animated diagrams, and transitions Capture and animate product UI to explain how the platform works Produce brand videos, product explainers, customer stories, and launch content, including our monthly product release notes video Partner with product marketing, demand generation, and sales enablement to take briefs from concept through final delivery Maintain visual consistency with brand guidelines across every asset, and contribute ideas that connect storytelling to brand positioning and pipeline goals What You'll Bring: 5+ years of professional video editing experience, ideally in-house or at an agency A strong portfolio showcasing both editing craft and short-form, social-native content Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, with working comfort in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma A strong foundation in pacing, visual storytelling, sound design, and post-production fundamentals Comfort with typography and layout in motion, working inside an established brand system Strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Enough camera, lighting, and audio literacy to set up and record a clean talking-head shot Bonus: Comfort presenting on camera - not required, but if you enjoy it, the monthly release notes video is yours to host Comfort with AI and emerging creative tools, using them to work faster without compromising quality, authenticity, or editorial judgment Experience in B2B, enterprise software, or another technical category Experience animating software UI or explaining technical systems visually Experience with a digital asset management system or collaborative cloud post-production workflows such as Frame.io Experience collaborating with or coaching executives on video content Why join us: We are creating an entirely new category within a 180+ billion-dollar physical security industry and looking for team members who are also passionate about our mission to prevent every security incident possible We have an impressive customer roster of F500 companies, including Adobe, SentinelOne and TikTok Regular Full-time employees receive stock options for the opportunity to share ownership in the success of our company Comprehensive health + welfare package (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, EAP, Legal Services, 401k plan) We offer flexible time off to rest and recharge, including Winter Break (time off between Christmas and New Year's for most roles, depending on customer demand) The latest tech and awesome swag will be delivered to your door Enjoy a full range of opportunities to connect with your awesome co-workers We love to hike, are foodies, and love music!
