Respiratory Therapist - Critical Care and Emergency Department

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day 3x12-Hour shifts from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist with Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to a diverse patient population, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and manage respiratory therapy interventions.
• Administer aerosolized medications and assist in high-risk deliveries.
• Perform intubation assistance and extubation procedures.
• Utilize specialized equipment such as Hamilton G5, PB 980, Respironics V60, and others.
• Monitor and interpret arterial blood gases.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care and emergency department settings.
• Current state license as a Respiratory Therapist is required.
• ACLS, BLS, and RRT certifications are mandatory.
• Previous charge experience is preferred, particularly in Trauma Level I or II facilities.
