Volunteer Coordinator Chair - The 831 Experience

Powered By Love, an established 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization , is seeking a local V olunteer & Outreach Chair to serve as the relational heart of the operation for The 831 Experience, a high-impact community restoration event on October 16th–17th, 2026.

This position is a volunteer leadership role with a project-based stipend of $4,000. Please note that this stipend is strictly contingent upon successful event revenue generation. Operating on an intensive 4.5-month operational sprint starting June 15th, 2026, the workload follows a phased timeline: Phase 1 requires 3–5 hrs/wk; Phase 2 requires 8–10 hrs/wk; and Phase 3 scales to 20–30 hrs/wk during the October event dates.

Expectations include executing a workforce recruitment strategy to source 150 specialized Guest Navigators from local corporate, collegiate, and faith-based pipelines , managing volunteer signups and automated shifts/reminders using Zoho Shifts and POINT , and leading essential orientations on trauma-informed care and de-escalation.

Additionally, you will recruit and manage a sub-committee of 3–4 specialized volunteers and supervise volunteer pods on-site to ensure all 75 unhoused guests receive high-dignity care. Qualifications include a strong background in volunteer management, human resources, or workforce coordination, excellent relational skills, and proficiency with digital scheduling platforms.
