Cost Engineer Opportunity
Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Cost Engineer position. This position is a contract hire opportunity which is expected to be on-site, in Chandler, AZ, and for a expected duration of 2-4 years.
Summary
The selected Cost Engineer will be responsible for the cost engineering and cost analysis/control activities for projects with significant non-routine requirements which require a high degree of technical skill. You will prepare cost reconciliations, review cost trends, and develop and implement project requirements for cost control. Your detailed analysis will provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challenges.
Job Description
- Establishes, maintains and monitors project budgets, change management, cost monitoring, cost variance analysis, quantity and craft labor reporting (QURR), and other periodic cost reports.
- Verifies consistency with previous reports to ensure compatibility and consistency.
- Prepares and ensures accuracy of the project cashflow and revenue earnings. Assists with PwC semiyearly project audit.
- Ensures accuracy in the cost coding of budgets and actuals.
- Performs budgets allocation in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures. Identifies trends and supports the change control program. Prepares cost studies using historical data, statistical analysis, and cost and quantity comparisons.
