Accounting Manager – Manufacturing

Location: Jacksboro, TN
Salary: $110,000

Green Meadows Partners is recruiting for an experienced  Accounting Manager   for an   immediate opening with a growing manufacturing organization in Jacksboro, Tennessee.

This is a hands-on accounting leadership role for someone who understands the financial side of  manufacturing operations —particularly cost accounting, inventory, plant financials, and operational performance. You'll work closely with plant leadership and the Controller to provide meaningful financial insight, strengthen processes, and support continued growth and improvement.

What You'll Do

• Manage inventory cost accounting, including inventory quantities, costs, reporting, and optimization
• Partner closely with plant leadership to analyze financial and operational performance
• Analyze profitability, productivity, expenses, and variances to identify opportunities for improvement
• Support annual production planning and development of cost standards
• Manage month-end reconciliations, closing processes, and monthly accruals
• Develop and improve costing and financial reporting processes
• Maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and process documentation
• Prepare financial reports and ad hoc analyses for leadership
• Help align operational and financial goals across the plant
• Serve as a primary point of contact for external financial auditors
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the operation

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5–10 years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory, and manufacturing financial processes
• Experience working directly with plant operations and plant leadership
• Strong ERP/accounting systems experience
• Demonstrated progression in responsibilities throughout your career
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to dig beyond the numbers and understand the "why"
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• CPA or CMA preferred, or willingness to pursue certification
