Endoscopy Support Specialist I

The primary responsibility of the Endoscopy Support Specialist I is to gain core product, service and operational knowledge during initial training and to develop essential customer relationship skills through a structured curriculum that includes classroom instruction, hands‑on equipment practice and evaluation. During the training period, the specialist will learn and implement repair service strategies within a discreet territory to reduce service contract costs, support contract renewals and create opportunities to increase repair service market share. Key responsibilities include establishing and maintaining field contact with key customers, clinicians, researchers and decision makers in assigned accounts, providing operational core competence through technical and presentation skills, and strengthening the Olympus brand through strong customer relationships. Job Duties Acquire experience in supporting targeted customers, sales representatives, field service engineers, repair personnel and service management under close supervision. Deliver customer support and endoscopy service satisfaction, including independent support calls and collaborative efforts as needed. Assist customers in repair reduction and develop trust‑based relationships. Promote service contracts for endoscopes, video electronics and reprocessing equipment through pre‑contract inspections, audits and outreach. Conduct educational visits, diagnose equipment issues, and provide in‑service training to maintain Olympus standards. Maintain customer rapport with key decision makers and leverage relationships to grow service business. Obtain knowledge of endoscopy equipment applications through corporate training, self‑study and on‑job training. Analyze customer repair cost utilization reports and review service contract performance to improve utilization. Demonstrate consistent equipment demonstrations and proper in‑service methods. Maintain communication with management and submit accurate field activity documentation. Complete MBO‑related duties and meet all goals set with management. Retain technical knowledge and be evaluated as capable of progressing beyond training. Adhere to customer vendor credentialing requirements when visiting medical facilities. Perform all other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications Required: Valid driver’s license and ability to manage company fleet vehicle or rental car. Flexible working hours and willingness to travel with overnight stays by automobile or air. After one year of employment, pass the Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocess (CFER) examination; prior experience may allow earlier completion. Self‑starter with minimal supervision. Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. High level of personal organization, independent work ethic and results orientation. Strong customer interaction and service support skills. Decision‑making ability and resolution management. Ability to perform under pressure and communicate solutions effectively. Understanding of business policies and practices. Multi‑tasking ability. Preferred: Associate’s degree or Surgical Technician certification / enrollment in an accredited program. 1–3 years experience in a clinical setting supporting patient care or equipment in endoscopy, hospital or ambulatory surgery. 1–3 years field‑based medical device support experience. The anticipated base pay range for this full‑time position is $30.54–$42.16 per hour, with potential for an annual bonus subject to plan eligibility.
