Overview Registered Nurse, Labor & Delivery (L&D) Bakersfield, California, United States Start date: 06/01/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Weekly pay: $2,384–$2,609 per week Guaranteed hours: 0 Shift: Nights (3x12) Setting: Hospital travel assignment Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,384–$2,609 per week Guaranteed hours: 0 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts Start date: 06/01/2026 Setting: Hospital travel assignment, Labor & Delivery Responsibilities Delivers coordinated nursing care for labor and delivery patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process Monitors maternal and fetal status, administers medications, and supports labor progression and delivery with appropriate clinical judgment Collaborates with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatology, and other disciplines to coordinate patient care Supervises and directs activities of various levels of nursing staff; delegates tasks within scope and ensures safe, effective care Documents care accurately, maintains patient safety, comfort, and privacy; participates in discharge planning and patient education Applies critical thinking and professional judgment to respond to emergencies and changes in patient condition; adheres to unit policies and infection control practices Requirements Active Registered Nurse license in California (RN) BLS certification required L&D experience preferred; able to demonstrate recent practice in labor and delivery Ability to work Nights (3x12-hour shifts) in a hospital setting Willingness to rotate assignments and travel as part of a temporary travel engagement Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to supervise staff and coordinate multidisciplinary care Benefits and Support 24/7 recruiter and travel support Dedicated assignment support throughout the engagement Credentialing and onboarding assistance to streamline start Nationwide travel opportunities through Healthforce Healthcare LLC #J-18808-Ljbffr
