Salary annually + 10% bonus

Sirius Staffing is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager for a direct-hire opportunity with a leading aerospace manufacturing organization in Sylmar, California.

This role will provide hands-on EHS leadership within a high-end manufacturing and research environment. The EHS Manager will partner with site leadership, supervisors, and employees to maintain regulatory compliance, reduce risk, improve safety performance, and support a strong culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide EHS guidance and support to site leadership and operations teams.
• Maintain a strong presence on the production floor and actively engage with employees and supervisors.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Prepare regulatory reports and support ongoing compliance activities.
• Lead job safety analyses, risk assessments, risk mitigation efforts, and Management of Change activities.
• Perform and coordinate industrial hygiene activities, including air and noise monitoring, ventilation assessments, and PPE evaluations.
• Support environmental programs involving air quality, air permitting, hazardous materials, chemical hazards, and water compliance.
• Conduct EHS audits and self-assessments and drive corrective actions as needed.
• Develop and deliver EHS training and participate in safety committees and emergency response activities.
• Monitor EHS performance metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Safety Sciences, Occupational Health, Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of EHS experience within manufacturing or a similarly regulated industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of Cal/OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Experience with environmental compliance, including air quality, air permitting, hazardous materials, Clean Air Act, and Clean Water Act requirements.
• Knowledge of EHS management systems, risk management, incident investigation, and industrial hygiene practices.
• Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Sylmar, CA.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident.
• Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Graduate Safety Professional (GSP).
• Experience within aerospace, defense, chemical, coatings, advanced materials, composites, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience with California-specific environmental compliance, including CEQA and air-quality regulations.
