Job Description & Requirements/n /n - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit /n - Discipline: RN /n - Start Date: 09/28/2026 /n - Duration: 12 weeks /n - 36 hours per week /n - Shift: 12 hours /n - Employment Type: Travel /n /n Travel: RN - Critical Care /n Alexandria, LA /n 13 weeks /n Shift - 7p - 7a /n **Type of patients on the unit: DKA, Acute Respiratory Failure, MIs, CABGs, Ventilators etc. It is a mixed cardiac and medical ICU. /n 36 or 48 hours per week guarantees are available. /n Note: Overtime is not Billable until after 48 hours. /n ****Must have experience with****: /n Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps /n Impellas /n Post-op Cardiovascular surgeries /n CRRT /n SHIFT: DAYS 7AM - 7PM /n START: ASAP /n RATE: *** /n REQUIRED Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications /n BLS certification via AHA required /n ACLS certification via AHA required /n RN License in state of employment or compact /n Weekend Requirement /n Every other weekend /n On Call Requirement /n No call /n Floating Requirement / Locations /n No floating /n Nurse / Patient Ratio /n 2:1 for ICU patients and 4:1 for IMCU patients in the ICU /n Summary: /n The competent Nurse, in the same or similar clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care, with the ability to on long-range goals or plans. Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical situation. /n Responsibilities: /n Meets expectations of the applicable One*** Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. /n Consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients. /n Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patient and families in accordance with their level of practice. /n Using the appropriate protocol, administers medications and treatments; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness of the treatment prescribed. /n Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given. /n Assess learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or care givers; identify issues and resources. /n Job Requirements: /n Education/Skills /n Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred /n Experience /n 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred /n Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications /n BLS required /n Current ACLS certification required /n RN License in state of employment or compact /n Position Requirements: /n Education/Skills /n All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire. /n New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member and initial on-boarding requirements are validated through successful completion of the designated organizational entry competency validation and a Critical Care Department-specific competency validation. /n Completion of all annual competency verification requirements. /n Experience /n One year of experience in Critical Care setting preferred but will accept new graduates. /n Work Schedule: /n 7PM - 7AM /n Work Type: /n Full Time /n #ICURN1 /n TalentBurst, Inc Job ID #26-26753.
