Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Directs daily work of other patient transporters and reports inadequate performance to Supervisor.Trains new and existing employees; updates personnel files. Follows up on complaints and reports them to the Supervisor.Evaluates work requirements and assignments; ensures efficient use of employees and distribution of work load.Demonstrates competency in transporting all specific age-groups.Ensures the safe, timely and accurate transport of patients to their destination; brings the proper requested equipment.Communicates effectively with nursing personnel, clinicians, technicians, or reception and dispatch.Ensures patient comfort by being attentive; offers blankets, checks modesty and only engages in appropriate conversation involving patients.
