Calibration TechnicianManage the Calibration systemMaintain calibration system to ensure full compliance with company standards and ISO requirementsManage and coordinate calibration activities with both internal and external suppliers and customersPerform mechanical calibration of gauges utilizing specified layout styleCoordinates calibration through interacting with production personnelManages the flow of gages/fixtures through the inspection department to ensure timely calibrationObserves Company processes and makes recommendations for improvementParticipates in Lean ProjectsMaintains adherence to company policies, environmental and safety standards, and good housekeeping standardsPerforms other duties as may be requiredAttendance is an essential function of the jobEducation/Experience - High school or technical school education, or equivalent, with mathematics emphasisSkill required to operate gauges and testing equipmentAnalytical capabilities to interpret detailed and complex drawingsVisual ability (corrected) to read directions and prints and to inspect parts closely to ensure that they meet specificationsManual dexterity sufficient to operate inspection machinery for precision workPhysical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping and bendingAbility to lift objects from lower to a higher position or moving horizontally from position-to-positionAbility to lift up to 35 lbs unassistedThe above description reflects a general outline considered necessary to describe the principle function of the job identified.
