Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various driving roles, including shuttle driving, delivery driving, and paratransit services. As a Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient transportation for passengers while providing excellent customer service and maintaining the vehicle in optimal condition.

Responsibilities:

• Operate vehicles such as shuttles, buses and delivery vans to transport passengers or safely and efficiently.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking, addressing inquiries, and ensuring a comfortable travel experience.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety compliance and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while maintaining a punctual schedule.
• Manage the loading and unloading of cargo or passengers, including heavy lifting as required.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transit.
• Collaborate with dispatchers to receive instructions on routes and schedules while remaining flexible to changes as needed.
• Foster a positive team environment by communicating effectively with colleagues and contributing to a culture of safety and respect.

Skills:

• Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or related roles with a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
• Familiarity with paratransit services is preferred; experience with school bus driving is an asset.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with passengers, team members, and management.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks when required during loading and unloading processes.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently while adhering to schedules.
• Valid driver's license (DL) is required; additional certifications for specific vehicle types are advantageous.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle maintenance tasks is preferred to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
