Full Time - eligible for accruals Peachtree City, GA, US Position Summary The position is based at RAC’s new corporate headquarters in Peachtree City, Georgia, which is an award‑winning suburban community approximately 25 miles south of downtown Atlanta. This role is on‑site four days per week, not remote. The Sr Accountant supports a multi‑plant, non‑union manufacturing environment. The scope is corporate office and multi‑location U.S. manufacturing and distribution center footprint with nearly one thousand employees. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Accounting Manager who in turn reports to the Corporate Controller. Scope of the Position Month‑End Close & General Accounting Execute assigned month‑end close activities in accordance with established close calendar and deadlines. Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries with complete and well‑documented support. Ensure accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, including proper classification and cut‑off. Analyze account activity and investigate variances, unusual trends, or discrepancies. Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly consolidated financial statements in compliance with US GAAP. Support consolidation processes within Oracle FCCS, including intercompany eliminations and reporting package submissions. Prepare and submit required financial reports to parent company (Rinnai Japan), ensuring alignment with group reporting requirements and timelines. Maintain and enhance reporting packages, schedules, and supporting analytics. Account Reconciliations & Balance Sheet Integrity Prepare and present detailed balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis. Ensure all reconciliations are fully supported, reviewed, and compliant with internal policies. Identify and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner, escalating issues as needed. Drive improvements in reconciliation quality, standardization, and automation. Systems & Data Management Maintain and update financial reports and datasets across Syteline/CSI, data warehouse tools, and Oracle FCCS. Ensure data integrity between subledgers and the general ledger. Support system enhancements, report automation, and process optimization initiatives. Internal Controls & Compliance Support the design, execution, and documentation of internal controls in compliance with JSOX/SOX requirements. Participate in risk assessments and identify areas for control enhancement. Ensure adherence to company accounting policies and procedures. Audit & External Reporting Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for quarterly reviews and annual audits. Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors, providing timely and accurate responses to requests. Assist in the resolution of audit findings and implementation of recommendations. Cross‑Functional Support & Business Partnership Provide financial analysis and accounting support to operations, supply chain, and other departments. Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure accurate financial reporting of business activities. Support ad hoc projects, including process improvements, system implementations, and technical accounting research. Experience and Skills 3+ years of accounting experience Corporate accounting and/or private equity background Strong command of US GAAP and standards Proven experience supporting month‑end close and audit cycles Cost accounting and inventory accounting exposure Preferred SOX experience Education Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Physical Requirements Physical activities: Constantly remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods; occasionally adjusting or moving objects up to 2 lbs; continually communicating with others; repeating wrist, hand, and finger motions; continually assessing the accuracy and thoroughness of the work.
