Pediatric Hospitalist Physician

Shift: 24/7 on-call coverage; round-and-go model with call from home; approximately 7 shifts per month
Position Details:
Patient Population: Pediatric patients and newborns
Setting: Hospital
Responsibilities: Newborn nursery care, pediatric consultations for the emergency department, pediatric hospitalist care, circumcisions, collaboration with pediatric hospitalists and neonatologists, and participation in CQI initiatives and clinical research projects
Required Procedures: Circumcisions
Support Staff: Team of 3 Pediatric Hospitalists; NICU support from Pediatrix Neonatologists
Days Per Month: Approximately 7 shifts per month
On-Call/Weekends: 24/7 on-call coverage; round-and-go model with call from home
Submission Requirements:
- Board Eligible within 5 years of eligibility and plans to become Board Certified OR Board Certified in Pediatrics - Required
- OH, license or willing to obtain - Required
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report within 30 days - Required
- DEA must be obtained prior to start - Required
