Site Security Director - Mixed-Use Retail & Residential Properties Company: Blueline Security Services, LLC Location: Montgomery County, Maryland Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday Join a Leadership Team That Sets the Standard Blueline Security Services is currently seeking professional, highly qualified Site Security Director candidates to oversee security operations at two prestigious mixed-use retail and residential properties in Montgomery County, Maryland. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in law enforcement, military service, corrections, federal security, or security leadership with proven management experience. While a current Maryland Security Guard License is not required to begin employment, all applicants must be able to obtain one within 30 days of hire . Blueline Security Services will assist qualified candidates through the licensing process. This position is much more than standing post-it's about providing exceptional leadership, delivering professional security services, and maintaining strong client relationships. You will serve as the face of Blueline Security Services at your assigned locations, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and secure environment while representing both our company and our client with professionalism, integrity, and confidence. The Site Security Director will oversee a team of approximately 10-15 Security Officers , ensuring staffing levels are maintained, schedules are organized, officers are properly trained, and security operations consistently exceed client expectations. We are seeking a leader who is dependable, organized, proactive, and capable of making sound decisions in a fast-paced, high-profile environment. The successful candidate must be able to balance customer service, operational management, and security responsibilities while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor under pressure. Schedule Tuesday - Saturday Week 1: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Week 2: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM (Rotating weekly schedule) Responsibilities Provide leadership and direct oversight of daily security operations. Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate a team of 10-15 Security Officers. Develop, maintain, and manage officer schedules while ensuring all shifts are adequately staffed. Deploy officers strategically during peak business hours and special events. Maintain a highly visible, professional security presence throughout the property. Conduct routine foot patrols throughout retail areas, residential buildings, parking garages, and common areas. Ensure officers complete patrols, reports, and assigned duties according to company and client standards. Deter theft, trespassing, vandalism, and disruptive behavior through proactive patrols and professional engagement. Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, disturbances, alarms, medical incidents, and other security concerns. Prepare clear, accurate, and detailed incident reports and daily activity reports. Communicate professionally with clients, tenants, visitors, law enforcement agencies, emergency responders, and Blueline leadership. Build and maintain strong working relationships with client management and tenants. Maintain organization of daily operations, staffing, scheduling, reports, and administrative responsibilities. Ensure all officers maintain proper appearance, professionalism, and compliance with company policies. Work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and maintaining operational excellence. Minimum Requirements Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or shift management experience. Bachelor's Degree or prior experience as a sworn Law Enforcement Officer with a recognized agency (SPO experience does not qualify) or honorable military service. Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation and drug screening. Ability to obtain a Maryland Security Guard License within 30 days of hire. Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage schedules, staffing assignments, and multiple operational priorities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the entire shift. Ability to conduct extensive foot patrols in both indoor and outdoor environments. Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and travel throughout large properties as needed. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment while remaining calm under pressure. Professional appearance, excellent customer service skills, and strong attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience managing security operations at mixed-use, retail, commercial, residential, hospitality, or Class A properties. Previous military, law enforcement, corrections, or federal security experience. Bilingual (Spanish preferred).
