Your role in our mission Design your career for growth, new possibilities and refining your valuable skills: Develop, maintain, and support high-quality application solutions that meet business and technical requirements. Participate in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and support. Execute change control activities and support the successful deployment of application enhancements and system updates. Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements, analyze needs, and implement effective solutions. Analyze and resolve technical and functional issues through troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving. Support and enhance existing C/Unix-based applications and systems while ensuring system reliability and performance. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance application quality, development processes, and operational efficiency. Assist in evaluating technical solutions and recommendations to support project and organizational objectives. Design, develop, test, document, and maintain application software, including server, client, and web-based components. Participate in technical design activities and contribute to the development of application architecture components and solution designs. Work closely with architects, developers, and other team members to ensure technical solutions meet functional and business requirements. Develop functional specifications, technical designs, and implementation plans based on project requirements. Create and maintain technical documentation, test plans, and deployment artifacts to support application integration and delivery. Collaborate with software developers, analysts, testers, and business stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes for Gainwell and its clients. Stay current with development tools, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve technical skills and application delivery capabilities. What we're looking for 4+ Years of Programming, Application Development, and Batch Programming Experience Using C, Unix, and Linux Strong SQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and Relational Database Experience for Data Querying and Data Structures Experience with System Integration, Scripting, Software Development, and SDLC Methodologies (Agile and Waterfall) Preferred Experience with Medicaid IT Systems, Healthcare Systems, and Regulatory Environments Strong Communication, Stakeholder Management, Problem Solving, Root Cause Analysis, Project Management, Cloud Platforms (Azure and AWS), and DevOps/CI/CD Practices What you should expect in this role Fully remote opportunity with the option to work anywhere within the United States Opportunities to travel through your work (0-10%) Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs and travel as required Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation The deadline to submit applications for this posting is December 30, 2026 The pay range for this position is $72,800.00 - $104,000.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
