Position Summary

Maintenance Mechanic
Are you a hands-on problem solver who knows how to troubleshoot, repair, and keep building systems working safely and efficiently?
We're looking for a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our Maintenance team and help keep our community property in excellent condition. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in a specialty trade who enjoys variety, solving problems, and seeing the results of their work every day.

What You'll Do
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you'll help maintain the community's buildings, equipment, and mechanical systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Troubleshoot and identify issues with electrical and plumbing systems and perform necessary mechanical repairs.
• Perform regular building maintenance and repairs , including work on mechanical systems.
• Perform advanced plumbing repairs, including soldering copper pipes .
• Assist the Maintenance Engineer with major projects, repairs, and maintenance initiatives .
• Work with suppliers and maintenance service providers to troubleshoot and repair major equipment .
• Assist other team members with minor repairs to equipment and building systems.
• Follow all applicable company, community, safety, and workplace policies and standards.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a specialty trade such as:
• • A/C
  • Carpentry
  • Electrical
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• EPA License/Certification
• High school diploma or GED

What You'll Need to Be Successful
We're looking for someone who is:

• A strong troubleshooter and problem solver
• Comfortable working hands-on with building systems and equipment
• Able to perform mechanical, electrical, and plumbing-related repairs
• Comfortable working with internal teams, suppliers, and maintenance providers
• Willing to jump in and support larger maintenance projects
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to follow established procedures

Physical & Environmental Requirements
This position involves physical activities such as:

• Standing, reaching, kneeling, crouching, and stooping
• Pushing and pulling
• Grasping and manual dexterity
• Working in both indoor and outdoor conditions
• Lifting up to 40 lbs.

The role may also involve exposure to bloodborne pathogens and respiratory infections, and requires the ability to manage the mental and emotional demands of the position.
