HQ Chiropractic is the Auto Injury Headquarters of the Permian Basin. We treat patients recovering from auto accidents and personal injuries through chiropractic care, rehabilitation, and coordinated diagnostic imaging support. Our personal injury volume is growing, and we are looking for a strong billing professional who understands the importance of accurate documentation, consistent follow-up, and timely collections.

About the Role

This is not a basic front-desk billing position. We are looking for a Medical Billing Specialist with experience in medical billing, accounts receivable, collections, or personal injury billing.

The ideal candidate has experience working with attorney-represented patients, letters of protection, liens, settlement follow-up, insurance claims, and medical records. Personal injury billing experience is strongly preferred, but we will also consider candidates with strong medical billing, collections, or legal/claims experience who are organized, detail-oriented, and willing to learn our process.

This role works closely with the billing team, clinic staff, attorneys, insurance adjusters, and management to help ensure accounts are billed, tracked, documented, and followed up properly.

What You’ll Do

• Manage billing follow-up for personal injury and chiropractic accounts
• Prepare and review bills, records, ledgers, affidavits, and supporting documentation
• Coordinate with attorneys regarding letters of protection, liens, balances, and settlement status
• Follow up with insurance companies, adjusters, attorneys, and patients as needed
• Track accounts receivable and document follow-up activity clearly
• Review accounts for missing information, coding issues, payment delays, or documentation gaps
• Assist with denied, delayed, reduced, or underpaid claims
• Help maintain accurate billing records for audits, legal review, and settlement documentation
• Communicate professionally by phone and email
• Follow HIPAA requirements and internal billing procedures

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of medical billing, collections, accounts receivable, or claims experience
• Personal injury, chiropractic, attorney lien, or LOP experience strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Comfortable calling attorneys, insurance companies, adjusters, and patients
• Ability to read and understand ledgers, balances, bills, and account notes
• Comfortable using EHR/billing software and spreadsheets
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Reliable, organized, and able to follow written procedures
• Working knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare confidentiality requirements

Preferred Experience

• Personal injury billing
• Chiropractic billing
• Attorney lien or letter of protection accounts
• Medical collections or accounts receivable
• ICD-10 and CPT coding familiarity
• Eclipse EHR experience
• Diagnostic imaging or MRI billing experience
• Bilingual English/Spanish

Compensation & Benefits

• $21.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule

Full-time, in-office position in Odessa, TX.
