We welcome all that share those values to apply.Essential Job DutiesAsphalt repair (path and pothole)Crack SealingBridge PaintingRoadside maintenance (mowing, trimming, trash pick-up, washout repair)Assist Streets Maintenance Technicians with day-to-day operationsLearn and operate various tools such as leaf blowers, chainsaws, mowers, string trimmers, construction hand tools like shovels, rakes, lutes, and tampersPerforms other duties assignedMinimum QualificationsAge Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or olderLicense and/or Certifications: Must possess a valid Driver's LicenseKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to convey information in written, verbal, and electronic formAbility to follow written and oral directionsMechanical aptitude; baseline knowledge of mechanical knowledge used; ability to perform a variety of semi-skilled and some skilled tasks in relation to street operations and maintenancePhysical DemandsModerate to heavy physical work to include lifting 75lbs or less, carrying 75lbs or less, and pushing and/or pulling 50lbs or lessAbility to physically access all work sites to perform duties, potentially in any weather and environmental conditionsFrequent performance of activities requiring a full range of body movement including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling/bending, crouching, crawling, and/or twistingFrequent hand/eye coordination to operate tools and electrical equipment as well as for driving equipment and vehiclesVision for reading, recording and interpreting informationSpeech communication and hearing to maintain communication with employees and citizensWork EnvironmentWorks primarily outdoors with exposure to all weather conditionsRegular exposure to dust, noise, and chemicalsEquipment UsedThis position may require the occasional use of personal equipment (e.g. vehicle, cell phone, tools, etc.) in the course of their employmentThis posting is subject to close at any point in time once a qualified pool of applicants has been obtained.Must satisfactorily pass a criminal background and driving record check prior to commencing employment.The Town of Castle Rock is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
