Clinical Informatics Specialist

The Clinical Informatics Specialist at Keck Hospital of USC supports and optimizes clinical information systems, including clinical databases, Cerner reporting, and UHC/Vizient data. The role aggregates and analyzes large, disparate healthcare datasets using tools such as QlikView, Qlik Sense, Tableau, and SAS; develops standard and ad hoc reports; supports clinical, operational, quality, and financial decision-making; monitors system performance; leads clinical process and outcome measure projects; collaborates with clinicians, IT staff, vendors, project managers, and quality-improvement teams; and provides end-user education and support. A bachelor's degree in public health, computer science, information systems, informatics, or a related field and at least three years of healthcare experience are required, along with database, analytics, statistics, data manipulation, and Cerner CCL reporting expertise.
