Project Manager

Position Summary The primary function of the Project Manager is to oversee administrative and sales support. This role requires outstanding organizational skills along with the ability to multitask. This person should be a self‑motivated individual, be able to represent GMS in a professional and competent manner at all times. Duties & Responsibilities Manage day‑to‑day office responsibilities, including invoicing, filing, scanning and copying documents. Respond to and manage telephone calls and email requests. Manage sales orders, requests for quotes from vendors, and general customer inquiries. Provide project support by working with customers, placing stock purchase orders, and assisting with project estimates. Develop product knowledge and build relationships with customers. Monitor, track and report on project budget and status, including estimated project cost, actuals and forecasts; compare and communicate current budget status against projections. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree. Minimum of 5 years of related work experience. Strong Microsoft Office skills. Conduct basic analysis on business topics, project data/statistics, progress, systems impacts and other key challenges. Will occasionally move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc. Must be able to operate basic office machinery. Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Required Cognitive Skills Must be able to problem solve and prioritize tasks. Must be able to manage stress depending on deadlines and ongoing projects. Must be able to multitask. Must be able to receive and analyze financial information. Must be able to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur. Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of sound judgement.
