Staff Engineer

Role Description

This is a pure engineering role for someone who loves the craft of code. You will join the Platform Team—one of four specialized pods (alongside Data, Front End, and DevOps)—to work on the critical systems that power the PredictiveGrid™.

• The platform’s ingest layer, database, APIs, and analytical systems are built in Go.
• You will be working at the systems level, dealing with high-throughput data structures, architecture, and complex algorithms.
• We aren't just looking for someone to push tickets; we are looking for a curious, kind, and technically obsessed engineer who likely builds distributed systems or side projects for fun on the weekends.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Go (Golang) in a production environment.
• Deep understanding of Distributed Systems and systems-level architecture.
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals: Robust knowledge of data structures and algorithms is non-negotiable.
• A "Hobbyist" mindset: You are the type of person who builds projects on the side because you genuinely enjoy the technology.
• Curiosity and Kindness: You are a nice person who is eager to learn and collaborate with a small, high-IQ team.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Python is a strong plus.
• Experience working in a startup environment (~30 people).
