Job Title: Sterile Processing Production Technician

Location: Long Beach, CA

Duration: 13-week contract with possible extension

Shift: Evening Shift | 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM (30-minute unpaid break included)

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Compensation

• Local Pay: $1,200 weekly
• Travel Pay: $1,380 weekly

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Production Technician to support a fast-paced healthcare facility in Long Beach, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong sterile processing experience, including handling loaner and consignment trays, while ensuring proper decontamination, sterilization, inspection, assembly, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and trays
• Process and manage loaner and consignment trays according to facility standards
• Operate sterilization equipment and maintain proper documentation of sterilization records
• Inspect instruments and equipment for cleanliness, functionality, and defects
• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
• Ensure proper storage and distribution of sterile supplies throughout the facility
• Collaborate with surgical teams and other departments to support patient care needs
• Maintain organized work areas and assist with inventory management as needed

Requirements
Education

• High School Diploma or GED required

Certifications & Licensure

• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• CRCST or CSPDT certification required

Required Experience

• Minimum two (2) years of recent hands-on Sterile Processing Department (SPD) experience
• Experience handling loaner and consignment trays required
• Strong knowledge of sterile processing procedures, infection prevention, and instrumentation handling
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
