Registered Respiratory Therapist II

Role Respiratory Therapist II responsible for delivering complex respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessments in critical care settings. Key Responsibilities Administers aerosolized medications, manages ventilators, performs airway management, and analyzes arterial blood gases. Collaborates with healthcare team to plan and implement patient care, ensuring safety and quality standards. Provides patient, family, and staff education, and mentors new employees and students. Participates in performance improvement initiatives and promotes evidence-based practices. Maintains accurate documentation and supports a positive team environment. Assists with invasive and non-invasive procedures and pulmonary diagnostic testing where applicable. Qualifications & Skills Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy (Bachelor's preferred). Licenses and certifications: NBRC-RRT, RCP, BLS, and ACLS at hire. 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care. Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills, along with computer proficiency.
