North American Concessions, Inc., in Chicago, IL is looking for a Utility Worker/Runner to join our strong team. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, and hard-working. This position is located inside of Midway Airport.

We're looking for people who have open availability to work.

Responsibilities:

The Utility Worker/Runner is responsible for transporting product from loading docks to venues, labeling products, putting said products into appropriate areas, care and cleaning of floors, pots and dishes, sanitation of table areas, rotation of stock, cleaning/maintenance of common areas, and proper disposal of oil.

Essential Functions:

·        Sweep, mop, and clean floors in kitchen work areas, common areas and the food court areas.

·        Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.

·        Transports and delivers goods and product from dock to venues and unloads the items and puts them away according to health and safety guidelines, including proper rotation.

·        Wash dishes, pots by hand or placing them in a dish washing machine.

·        Assist with food prep when needed.

·        Remove trash and garbage to and from designated areas.

·        Clean equipment using established protocols to ensure sanitary standards.

·        Transfer supplies and equipment within and between storage and work areas such as pantry and dish room.

·        Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.

·        Maintain constant communication with management.

·        Handling of alcohol in a safe manner

• ·        May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

·        Must be a self-starter and possess a high level of motivation

·        Must be able to stand, walk, and bend throughout the entire work shift.

·        Must be able to lift, stack and maneuver objects that may weigh 50 to 75 pounds.

·        Ability to stand 90% of time

·        The employee is frequently required to reach and pull with hands and arms. walk, sit, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

·        Must be dependable

·        Must be able to use safe operating procedures and judgment

·        Must have excellent communication skills

·        Must have the ability to get badged by The Chicago Department of Aviation, which includes a federal background check, as well as maintaining the badge.

Health Insurance, Dental Insurance and Vision Insurance are offered after employees pass their 90-day probationary period, and if elected, it will begin on the first day of the month following the passage of the probationary period.

PTO (Paid Time Off): Employees will receive 80 hours of PTO after accruing a full year of full-time service. Employees are permitted to begin using accrued PTO time after they work a minimum of six (6) months. PTO will increase at the five (5) year mark and at the ten (10) year mark.

Paid Sick Time : Employees receive 40 hours of Paid Sick Time per year and they are permitted to start using it after they pass their 90-day probationary period.
