Sonographer Position

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

40-hour shift work and call when appropriate, with floating to other units/departments.

Job Description

The Sonographer will be responsible for performing various ultrasound procedures with proficiency in a wide variety of areas, including:

• Abdomen: Aorta, IVC, Liver/Biliary, Pancreas, Spleen, Renal (both normal and pathology)
• Gynecology: Breast, ovaries, adnexa, uterus, pelvis (normal and pathology in post-menopausal, transvaginal, adult and pediatric patients)
• Obstetrics: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester evaluations, amniocentesis, complications, biophysical profile, gestational age, placental grading, abnormalities, IGUR, uterus/adnexa
• Neonatal: Assessment of congenital anomalies and neonatal head
• Superficial Structures: Abdominal wall, breast, focal masses, hematoma, scrotum/testes, thyroid
• Vascular: Carotid duplex, segmental pressure studies, upper and lower extremity venous and arterial duplex

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an acute hospital setting
• Minimum 3 years as a full-time sonographer
• Active ARDMS certifications: AB, OB, RVT
• Active BLS certification (AHA certified)
