Amazing Athletes of Raleigh is seeking an energetic, encouraging Preschool Sports Coach to introduce young children to the fun of movement, teamwork, and foundational athletic skills. This in-person role in the Triangle area is ideal for a youth sports coach, early childhood sports instructor, kids fitness coach, or athletic instructor who loves helping children build confidence through play. You will have the rewarding opportunity to make sports accessible, positive, and memorable during a child’s earliest learning experiences while earning $20 to $26 per hour.

What You Will Do:

• Lead age-appropriate preschool sports and fitness sessions that introduce children to soccer, basketball, baseball, football, tennis, hockey, volleyball, lacrosse, and other athletic activities.
• Create a safe, upbeat, and inclusive environment where young athletes can explore movement, coordination, listening skills, teamwork, and healthy competition.
• Adapt instruction and activities to meet the developmental needs, attention spans, and abilities of preschool-aged participants.
• Teach fundamental skills through engaging games, demonstrations, encouragement, and positive reinforcement rather than pressure-based coaching.
• Represent Amazing Athletes of Raleigh professionally while communicating warmly with children, school staff, caregivers, and program partners.

What You Will Bring:

• You bring experience coaching, teaching, mentoring, supervising, or leading activities for young children in sports, recreation, fitness, camps, schools, or childcare settings.
• You have a genuine enthusiasm for athletics and can confidently introduce basic skills across multiple sports in a fun, accessible way.
• You communicate clearly, patiently, and positively with preschoolers while maintaining a structured and safe group environment.
• You are dependable, organized, and comfortable working independently in an in-person coaching role.
• You are physically able to actively demonstrate movements, lead games, and participate in energetic youth fitness activities.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in player development, group training, youth recreation, officiating, cheerleading, fitness instruction, or sports management will help you thrive in this role.
• Knowledge of multi-sport programming is valued, especially when paired with a child-centered coaching approach.
• Credentials required: First Aid/CPR Certified, NC Child Care Background Check, Recent Physical and TB Test.

Compensation & Benefits:

• This position pays $20 to $26 per hour, based on relevant experience and qualifications.
