Custodian - Third Shift

TeamstersFacilities MaintenanceSupervisor, Custodial ServicesPrincipal Responsibilities:1. Cleans all floor areas in designated work locations, including vacuuming, shampooing, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, or buffing.2. Dusts, cleans, or polishes furniture and fixtures.3. Checks and replaces necessary lavatory supplies.4. Assists with the moving of furniture, supplies and miscellaneous equipment.5. Collects trash from receptacles through the buildings.6. Cleans and washes glass surfaces, ceilings, and walls.7. Shovels, salts, and/or sands walks, stairs, building entrances as directed.8. Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Two (2) years previous custodial experienceExperience in operating machinery related to custodial activitiesMust have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 poundsPreferred Qualifications:• Ability to work under minimum supervisionSupplemental Information:Multiple positions available Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.40 Hours per WeekHalf-Hour Lunch Shift differential of $4,176.00Retirement: Pension Eligible Any Middlesex College employee hired after September 1, 2011 will have to meet the New Jersey residency law requirement.
