Diesel Mechanic

Extreme Demolition & Land Clearing, LLC, a Southwest Florida construction company, is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to perform maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs on company equipment, trucks and heavy machinery in a safe, efficient, and quality-focused manner at their Fort Myers, FL location. Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Oversee the upkeep, maintenance, and repair work on heavy construction equipment including excavators, bulldozers, graders, and other equipment Adjust equipment and repair and/or replace defective parts, components, or systems using hand and power tools Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer's specifications Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment Service attachments and tools such as blades, densifiers, and rakes Complete required inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment to maximize safety, productivity, and lifespan Craft thorough reports and records in a timely manner and provide final documentation to upper management Monitor equipment for compliance with prescribed operating and safety standards Participate in general shop operations and maintain a clean and safe work environment Other duties as determined by upper management Position Requirements Must be able to look at mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, identify problems and think about possible solutions Ability to read and understand operating manuals, blueprints and technical drawings Heavy equipment maintenance experience required Must be able to life up to 50 pounds Have a valid CDL license and DOT physical card, preferred Must pass a pre-employment drug test Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes and work cooperatively and jointly Equal Opportunity Employer Extreme Demolition & Land Clearing, LLC provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
