Position: Security Officer - Flexible - Luxury Shopping in Cincinnati, OH. This role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings. Pay Rate: $21.12 / Hour Role Schedule: Fri 10:00 AM – 09:00 PM How This Role Works Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, common areas, corridors, and perimeter areas, helping to deter unwanted activity. Monitor access points, observe visitor and employee activity, and report unusual behavior, maintenance concerns, and potential risks to the appropriate personnel. Support loss prevention awareness by remaining visible throughout the location, addressing customer service needs, and following post orders related to merchandise protection and after-hours procedures. Minimum Requirements At least 1 year of security-related experience. Experience in loss prevention is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
