Requisition ID: 54578 Location: 2500 Hospital Dr Bldg 10, Mountain View, CA 94040 Type: Full Time Category: Medical Assistant The Medical Assistant will support physicians and clinical staff in providing specialized patient care by performing both clinical and administrative duties specific to the practice's area of focus. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. The Medical Assistant's primary responsibilities may vary based on state regulations. Requirements Greet and escort patient to exam room, prepare patient for visits by obtaining medical history, current medications, allergies, and chief complaints and document all information in patient medical record. Assist with patient flow to ensure timely visits. Support delivery of high-quality patient experience through excellent customer service and communication with patients, families and other care providers while ensuring a safe patient care environment. Provide assistance to physician and/or advanced practice provider in preparing and conducting medical exams and office procedures under direct guidance and supervision of physician and advance practice provider. . Perform applicable medical procedures collect, and prepare laboratory specimens, administer injections/immunizations, and perform venipuncture, as allowed by state regulations. Communicate information and instructions to patients as directed by physician, advanced practice provider, or nursing staff and ensure patient's understanding of the information. Assist with scheduling of tests, treatments, and follow-up appointments, and communicate test results to patients. Ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, and prepare sterilization as required. Respond to calls and requests for referrals and appointments, triage and process messages, and requests from patients, clinic staff, referring physicians and pharmacies. Maintains patient files, records, and other information. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Location: This position will be based at our Mountain View location: 2500 Hospital Dr., Building 10, Mountain View CA 94040-4106 Education: Diploma from an accredited program for Medical Assistants required. Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred or as required by State CPR/BLS certification preferred Experience Industry: Healthcare Experience: 1+ years in an office-based setting preferred. Pay Range (Base Pay) : $22.79 - $36.49 per hour Starting Pay Range (Base Pay) : $23.00 - $30.00 per hour Full-time is classified as team members who are consistently scheduled and work 30 hours or more on a weekly basis. Paid Time Off :All full-time team members are eligible for PTO that may be used for time away from work. Team members hired before the 15th of the month accrue PTO the first month of employment; however, team members hired on or after the 16th of the month begin accruing PTO the month following date of hire. Team members are entitled to PTO according to the following methodology: Length of Continuous Service Annual PTO Hours Accrued Monthly Maximum Accrual 0 - 4 full years 18 days (144 hours) 12.0 hours 27 days (216 hours) 5 -- 8 full years 23 days (184 hours) 15.33 hours 34.5 days (276 hours) More than 8 full years 28 days (224 hours) 18.67 hours 42 days (336 hours) Team members accrue PTO as they work up to the maximum accruals stated above. After reaching the maximum accrual, a team member does not accrue additional PTO time until the team members uses sufficient PTO to fall below the maximum permissible accruals. Full-time team members who work less than 40 hours will accrue on a pro rata basis. Paid Holidays :The Company observes the following Holidays: New Year's Day; Memorial Day; Juneteenth; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Friday after Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Eve; Christmas Day; and 1 Floating Holiday. NOTE: The paid holidays above are offered to regular full-time team members upon employment. Full-time team members who work fewer than 40 hours per week will receive holiday pay on a pro-rated basis.
