Position Full-Time Location - Jericho, NY office The Role We’re looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you’ll support the Director of Accounting & Finance with day-to-day financial operations—including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and data entry. You’ll play a key part in keeping our financial records accurate and our operations running smoothly. What You’ll Do Process and record invoices, payments, and customer transactions Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on overdue accounts Accurately enter financial data into accounting software and maintain organized records Assist with monthly reconciliations of bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial documents Support month-end close activities, including journal entries and financial statement preparation Communicate professionally with vendors and customers regarding invoices and payment inquiries Assist the finance team with reporting, budgets, and audit documentation What We’re Looking For 2-3 years of experience in an accounting or finance support role Associate’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred Familiarity with basic accounting principles and terminology Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numerical data Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment Able to work in-office / Hybrid work may become available at a later time Why Forward Thinking Systems?
