Credits & Refunds Representative

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM Contract Length: 6–12 Month Contract with Extension Potential Pay Rate: $20–25/hr Position Overview We are seeking experienced Credits & Refunds Representatives to support a high-volume healthcare revenue cycle team. This position is responsible for researching and resolving patient account balances, processing refunds, reconciling payments, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring accurate account resolution. The ideal candidate will have experience with payment posting, credit balances, refunds, account reconciliation, and healthcare billing systems while working in a production-driven environment. Responsibilities Research and resolve patient and insurance account balances Process patient and payer refunds accurately and timely Investigate payment discrepancies, overpayments, underpayments, and misapplied payments Review EOBs, ERAs, remittance advice, and account history to determine appropriate resolution Perform account reconciliation and adjustment activities Work closely with internal revenue cycle teams to resolve billing and reimbursement issues Navigate multiple healthcare billing systems and payer portals Maintain productivity and quality standards within a high-volume environment Document account activity thoroughly and accurately Ensure compliance with organizational policies and payer guidelines Required Qualifications 2+ years of healthcare revenue cycle experience Experience with payment posting, refunds, credit balances, or account reconciliation Experience researching and resolving payment discrepancies and account issues Strong understanding of EOBs, ERAs, and payer reimbursement processes Experience working within high-volume production environments Ability to manage multiple systems while maintaining accuracy and productivity Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications MS4 experience Hospital or physician billing experience Insurance follow-up or accounts receivable experience Ideal Backgrounds Payment Posting Specialist Cash Posting Specialist Credit Balance Specialist Revenue Cycle Specialist Accounts Receivable Specialist Insurance Follow-Up Specialist Reimbursement Specialist Additional Information Onsite position located in Mesa, AZ Training provided Long-term contract opportunity with extension potential Collaborative team environment Opportunity to support a large healthcare revenue cycle operation #J-18808-Ljbffr Medasource
