Job Title: Logistics Supervisor Job Description

This position is integral to the Material Flow & Logistics within the facility, covering areas such as Trim, Final Assembly, Body, and Paint. The Logistics Supervisor will oversee a large area and supervise union employees, ensuring the efficient flow and supply of parts to the assembly line on the production floor.

• Prioritize safety, quality, and production in the running of the zone.
• Supervise the workforce to ensure processes, policies, and procedures are adhered to, meeting employee safety, product safety, quality standards, and production volume targets.
• Maintain hourly personnel files, including documentation related to company policy such as employee counseling, time and attendance, and work performance.
• Make personnel decisions regarding training, planning, discipline, rewards, performance reviews, addressing complaints, and solving problems.

• Logistics and warehouse management experience.
• Experience supervising in a fast-paced union or non-union environment.
• Background in automotive logistics and material flow.
• Previous high volume supervision experience.
• Supply chain management expertise.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in distribution, warehouse, or logistics supervision.
• Union supervision or leadership experience preferred but not required.
• Supply chain planning or management expertise.
• Experience in coaching and development.
• Problem-solving methodologies for current product issues.
• Background in tracking quality, monitoring performance, and coordinating Lean Manufacturing events.

The environment is fast-paced, requiring quick decision-making abilities. Flexibility with hours and shifts is necessary, with some employees working 60-70 hours per week. The dress code is business casual, and the position involves a rotating swing shift every three months between A, B, and C crews. Supervisors are expected to arrive 30-45 minutes before the line starts and stay after production ends.

This is a Contract position based out of Elizabethtown, KY.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Elizabethtown,KY.
