Positioning and immobilization of patient to ensure anatomy or blood vessels being examined are in the correct profile and projection. Independent selection of technical factors to ensure high quality images with the lowest possible dose to the patient.

Must have attended an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology and be ARRT registered

This position will need to recognize needs and behaviors of a variety of age groups of patients and treat all customers with age specific appropriateness.

Ability to perform most interventional radiology procedures usually performed in specials lab with close supervision of the radiologist - demonstrates ability to use various types of radiographic equipment to obtain images of optimal quality. - demonstrates good teamwork and cooperation with external/internal customers good communication skills.

ARRT registered

Ability to participate in on-call program and available to department needs with minimal notice

Ability to do light, medium, heavy lifting. Light: lifting 20 pounds occasionally and /or up to 10 pounds frequently Medium: lifting to 20-50 pounds occasionally and/or 10-25 pounds frequently and/or 10-20 pounds constantly. Heavy: Lifting 50-100 pounds occasionally and/or 25-50 pounds frequently, and/or 10-20 pounds constantly.

Ability to stand for long periods of time while wearing a lead apron. Apron weights about 20 lbs. - Ability to make independent professional decisions using good judgement skills.

Ability to practice high quality patient care and technical competence

If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015

Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
