Infusion RN (Per Diem)

Infusion RNThe Infusion RN is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all clinical support activities in the Practice and for providing professional clinical assistance to patients within the practice supporting the physicians. Working directly with the physicians, the Nurse Coordinator is the liaison between the patient and the physicians for establishing and maintaining quality patient care and will perform all duties in accordance with clinic protocols and procedures.Routine duties include but are not limited to the following:Vaccine/Injection AdministrationInfusionsPhlebotomyPICC line managementDiabetes Education / TrainingContinuous Glucose Monitors (CGMs)Anemia ManagementClinical Staff Training and Maintenance of CompetenciesInsurance authorization (Medications/Procedures)Essential responsibilities/duties:Utilize clinical teamwork to oversee the interdisciplinary plan of care: Assess the patient and family as appropriate, Plan and implement clinical care and facilitates its delivery to patients and family members, Evaluate the process and outcome of clinical services in the practice and make suggestions for improvement, Document according to practice policies and proceduresPractice and promote professional clinical care within legal and ethical standardsProvide education/consultation as needed to other health care team members and to patients and familiesAssist with determining appropriate staffing levels and recruitment efforts for new clinical staffAssist with evaluating clinical staff performance and completion of performance evaluationsAssist with development and implementation of policies and proceduresMaintain adequate medical supply and pharmaceutical inventory and assist in placing orders as necessaryAs a member of clinic management, ensure that the practice meets all code and accreditation standards (OSHA, DPH, JCAHO, CLIA, HIPAA)Administer vaccinations and injections and infusions and biologicsTriage telephone calls and schedules urgent care appointmentsMaintain frequent contact with outside providers and agencies to facilitate and coordinate patient careMaintain professional license through practice-based continuing education programsJob requirements:BSN RequiredThree (3) or more years in a clinical setting, preferably in office settings related to internal medicine sub-specialties preferredLicensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.Compensation Range: $31.97- $46.39Equal Opportunity Employer/Disabled/Veterans
